The Giulia, Stelvio and 2.2 Diesel — What We Watch
On the petrol Giulia and Stelvio (2.0 turbo) the cooling system, the electronics and timely oil servicing deserve attention. On the popular 2.2 JTDm diesel we monitor the timing chain, the emissions system (DPF, EGR) and the fuel system. A separate and important topic for any Alfa is the electrics and electronic modules: many jobs need not just replacing a part but also correct adaptation or coding, without which intermittent faults appear. The Alfa Romeo Tonale — a Hybrid, and That Is Our Field
The Tonale is Alfa's turn towards electrification. The model is offered as a mild hybrid and as a plug-in hybrid: the latter combines a petrol engine with a traction battery charged from the mains and an electric drive on the rear axle. This is technology with a battery, power electronics and a charging system.
