Why an Audi Needs Proper Diagnostics, Not "Read the Faults and Cleared Them"
A modern Audi has dozens of electronic modules, and many jobs require not only replacing a part but also correct adaptation, coding or matching after the repair. Without this, "floating" faults and incorrect operation of components appear — and the owner then goes round in circles between workshops.

The S tronic (DSG) Automated Gearbox — Servicing, Not Just Repair
The S tronic (a preselective DSG gearbox) is a reliable unit, provided it is serviced in good time. Many owners are convinced the gearbox is "maintenance-free" and only learn about the oil and filter change when problems appear. In reality the wet S tronic has an oil-change schedule, and the health of the mechatronic unit depends directly on it being kept to.
We carry out S tronic servicing — an oil and filter change to schedule, mechatronic diagnostics, an assessment of the clutches' condition — rather than only a repair once it has broken. That is noticeably cheaper than letting the gearbox reach a serious repair.
quattro All-Wheel Drive — the Haldex Needs Servicing
On all-wheel-drive Audis with a transverse engine (most A3, Q3, S3 and related models) a Haldex clutch is used. It has its own oil and filter, which need changing to schedule — and this is what gets forgotten most often. A neglected Haldex starts to work incorrectly, and the repair costs more than simple servicing. We check the condition of the clutch and service it in good time.

TFSI and TDI Engines — What We Watch
On petrol TFSI engines (especially the early EA888 generations) raised oil consumption and timing-chain-tensioner issues occur — these are known weak points, which we check first. Direct injection produces carbon build-up over time, so fuel quality and the condition of the spark plugs and coils matter. Newer engines add a MHEV mild hybrid (48 V), whose operation we also diagnose.
TDI diesels are durable but need attention to the emissions system — the DPF, EGR and SCR with AdBlue. As with any diesel, problems arise more often on short city trips without a full warm-up.
