The Fiat Ducato — Van, Camper and Europe's Workhorse
The Ducato is one of the most widespread vans on the continent. It carries loads, it is turned into service and special vehicles, and it is also a platform twin of the Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Jumper, which we know well. The Ducato diesels (2.2 and 2.3 MultiJet) are durable but need attention to the diesel particulate filter, the EGR and the fuel system, especially in heavy use.
We service the Ducato of all generations, as well as the Scudo, Doblo and Fiorino, including the electric E-Ducato. A lift with an 8-tonne capacity lets us take a loaded or heavy vehicle. For companies and fleets we can agree on scheduled servicing, so the vans stand idle less often.
Campers Based on the Ducato — a Topic of Their Own
The overwhelming majority of campers and motorhomes in Europe are built on the Ducato chassis. Such a vehicle is a loaded, long and heavy one, and not every garage can service it: both a suitable lift and space are needed. We have both.
For campers based on the Ducato we carry out scheduled servicing of the running gear, the diesel and the exhaust system, brakes under serious load, diagnostics, suspension repair and bodywork on the base vehicle. Before the travelling season a preventive check — of the brakes, the running gear and the diesel section — is worthwhile, so you are not looking for a garage on the road.
Fiat Runabouts — 500, Panda, Electric 500e
Fiat's city range is simple and economical to run. The petrol 500 and Panda (including the mild-hybrid versions) are uncomplicated cars with inexpensive parts, where timely servicing, brakes and suspension matter. The electric 500e stands apart — a full city electric car with a traction battery and power electronics. As a garage with hybrid and electric expertise, we confidently diagnose its high-voltage section and also handle brakes, suspension and bodywork.
Engines and What Matters
On the commercial Fiats the basis is the MultiJet diesels, where the main servicing topic is the emissions system (DPF, EGR) and the fuel system. On the runabouts, simple petrol FireFly engines, including with mild hybrid, where the condition of the belt or chain by engine and timely servicing matter. Fiat is part of the Stellantis group, so on a number of models the engineering is related to Peugeot, Citroën and Opel, and parts are available.
