In brief: Ford means mass-market cars and the king of Transit vans, plus a couple of well-known weak spots (PowerShift, the EcoBoost belt). We know them and service them properly, and Ford hybrids and EVs are our specialism. A quote before work starts, 12-month warranty.
Ford — king of vans and a mass-market brand
The Transit in all its sizes (Transit, Transit Custom, Transit Connect, Transit Courier) underpins countless businesses in Silesia, and for them downtime is especially costly. At the same time, passenger Fords are mass-market and well understood, and parts for them are widely available and inexpensive. That makes servicing a Ford good value — provided the workshop knows the brand and its quirks.
We service both passenger Fords and commercial Transits in one place, and our 8-tonne lift capacity means we can take on a loaded van. For a broader overview of our commercial vehicle services, see the van repair page.
Ford's known weak points — what we check
Several Ford models have characteristic traits that are worth knowing about in advance. The PowerShift dual-clutch automated gearbox (on some Focus and Fiesta models) is known for clutch and mechatronics problems — jerking and hesitation — and when this happens we diagnose and repair it properly rather than let it slide. On petrol EcoBoost engines (especially the 1.0-litre) the oil-bath timing belt deserves attention, and some engines have historically had cooling system issues — so we check belt condition, oil system cleanliness, and cooling circuit integrity. On EcoBlue diesels we check the particulate filter, EGR, and fuel system.
An honest look at these components, plus preventive maintenance, is noticeably cheaper than dealing with the consequences of a failure.
Ford van service and repair — Transit
The Transit commercial range is one of our key focus areas. We service the Transit, Transit Custom, Transit Connect, and Transit Courier, including the electric E-Transit. Our 8-tonne lift capacity means we can take on a loaded or heavy van. For vans, we carry out scheduled servicing, suspension and brake repairs under load, diesel-specific work, diagnostics, and bodywork and paint repairs. For companies and fleets, we can arrange scheduled maintenance plans.
Ford hybrids and EVs — Kuga PHEV, Mustang Mach-E, Explorer
Ford is electrifying its range: the Kuga and other models are available as mild hybrids and plug-in hybrids (Kuga PHEV), while the EV line-up includes the Mustang Mach-E and the new Explorer. An interesting detail: the current electric Explorer is built on Volkswagen's MEB platform, which we know well from the ID range. As a workshop specialising in hybrids and EVs, we diagnose and service the high-voltage side properly: the traction battery, charging system, power electronics, and regenerative braking. If you have a Ford hybrid or EV, it falls squarely within our specialism. For model specifications and technical data, see the official Ford website.
