Kia — the Same Proven Hyundai Engineering, but with Its Own Emphasis on Value
Kia and Hyundai are one group, with shared platforms, engines, gearboxes and electronics. For a Kia owner this is a double benefit: reliable, well-understood engineering and available parts, which often fit from related Hyundais too. The repair is predictable, and its logic is well known to us across both marques.
That is exactly why servicing a Kia at an independent garage works out well: we know the platform, choose parts accurately and do not push anything unnecessary.
Kia Hybrids and Electric Cars — Niro, EV6, EV9
Kia is one of the leaders in electrification. The Niro comes in hybrid, plug-in and fully electric versions, the Sportage and Sorento have hybrids and plug-in hybrids, and the EV6 and EV9 are built on the E-GMP platform with a fast charging architecture. This is technology with a traction battery, power electronics and a charging system.
As a garage with hybrid and electric expertise, we diagnose and service this part specifically: the battery's condition, the charging system, the power electronics, the regenerative braking. For plug-in hybrids we advise on extending battery life. If you have a Niro, EV6 or EV9, you have come to the right place.
Kia Warranty and When It Is Worth Coming to Us
Kia is known for its long factory warranty. While it is in force, servicing should usually be carried out in the authorised network — that is its condition, and it is worth checking. After the warranty ends, the picture changes: the scope of work is the same, but at an independent garage the rates are lower, and thanks to the platform shared with Hyundai the parts are available. It is at this stage that switching to us gives a noticeable saving without any loss of quality.
Petrol, Diesel and the Gearbox
On the petrol Kias (GDi and T-GDi) the direct injection and carbon build-up, the condition of the belt or chain by engine and timely servicing deserve attention. On the CRDi diesels, the emissions system (DPF, EGR). Some models have a DCT robotised gearbox, whose operation we check during servicing. These components are familiar to us from Hyundai too, so diagnostics follow a clear logic.
